Thai Massage or Oriental bodywork has its origins in ancient Chinese medicine. It is a combination of foot reflexology, Chinese energy lines and taichi movements, and "passive" yoga. Although the length of a session can range from 1.5 hours to as much as 4 hours, the average session length is 2 hours. This massage is performed using a mat on the floor with the client fully clothed in loosely fitting clothing without their shoes and socks. Over a period of time this therapy may increase client flexibility. |

Neuromuscular or Deep Tissue Massage is normally performed on a table without lubricant. Even though the client removes only the clothing required to access the part of the body being massaged, the client is fully covered with a sheet. This massage is performed to correct posture or alignment problems. |

Craniosacral Therapy is a very light touch massage performed fully clothed except for the shoes. The massage is performed on a massage table and is often done to allow the body to complete a healing process or to relieve stress. It also opens the various diaphragms of the body. The work is very mental and is done at the subconscious level. |

Seated Chair Massage is portable and can be done in offices, schools, convention areas, on in the Kneads You office. The client sits on a specially designed chair where their back, neck, hands and arms are massaged. Sessions can last from 5 to 30 minutes with a typical session lasting 10-15 minutes. This massage leaves the client feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Clients have said that the seated chair massage is the equivalent of taking a “power nap" during the workday. |

Swedish Massage involves the client removing clothing and lying on the massage table covered by a sheet. The body remains covered and the massage therapist massages one part of the uncovered body at a time. As she moves from body area to body area, the sections are uncovered, massaged, and then covered. Using a lubricant (oil or cream), the therapist makes long flowing strokes or short kneading strokes to provide this relaxing massage. Swedish massage is the most commonly requested. |
