About Irma:
Irma Jackson's interest in massage therapy began before she retired from her first career as a high school science teacher. Upon retiring, she embarked on a new adventure of a second career in massage therapy.
After attending the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapies in Charlotte, NC, she passed the National Board Certification test in massage in July 2001. Since then she has added additional expertise in two areas. Irma continued her quest for knowledge by completing Levels 1 and 2 of craniosacral therapy at the Upledger Satellite Center. Her interest in her art led her to travel internationally. In December 2002, she spent six weeks living in Chiang Mai,Thailand while she attended the International Training Massage School, learning to do Thai massage as well as how to teach the technique.
Currently, she is building a massage practice, which is divided equally between seated chair and full body massage. Although no house calls are made in this practice, Irma travels with the seated chair to businesses and schools.
